Biography

Gaetano Volpe is the Co-Founder and CEO of Latitudo 40, an Italian startup specializing in earth observation analytics. With over 20 years of experience in the space and telecommunications sectors, he has a proven track record in business development, technological innovation, and designing growth strategies for international markets.[3] His work at Latitudo 40 focuses on leveraging satellite data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to provide actionable insights for urban planning, climate resilience, and sustainability initiatives.[5]

Volpe's entrepreneurial endeavors also include serving as Founder and CFO of Esferatros, a Luxembourg-based startup developing a new satellite carrier for small satellites.[4] He has held roles as an Innovation & Marketing Manager at SIRM ITALIA S.r.l., driving marketing strategies and business development for satellite services.[9] Additionally, he contributes as a Business Expert for the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and mentors various programs, including the Space Generation Advisory Council.[9]

Academically, Gaetano Volpe holds a Doctor of Philosophy and is a Research Fellow - Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic University of Bari, where his research focuses on decentralized architectures and cybersecurity solutions for complex systems, including Blockchain integrated platforms in manufacturing environments.[2] He is also a member of the scientific board for the NATIONAL PHD COURSE IN EARTH OBSERVATION - SAPIENZA.[1] His foundational education includes a Degree in Business Science & Marketing from Università degli Studi di Salerno, an Executive MBA from STOA Management School, and a Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance & Management Control from 24Ore Business School. His expertise extends to business coaching, strategy development, and the implementation of data-driven insights for digital transformation, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Organization and Design Thinking.[5] Volpe's comprehensive background bridges advanced technological innovation with strategic business impact, particularly within the evolving landscape of space technology and earth observation.[3]
