Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the website humandriven-ai.com ("Site") and related services offered by WitUp Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with registered office at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX ("Controller", "we"). By accessing the Site you fully accept these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use the Site.


1. Subject and scope

The Site promotes the Human Driven AI Summit 2026 event (Pompeii, 18-20 September 2026) and provides information on:

  • Programme and agenda for the three-day event
  • Speakers and professional biographies
  • Sponsors, partners and media
  • Press review and official press releases
  • Downloadable resources (Media Kit, Photo Gallery, Press Releases, Brand Book)
  • Contact forms (information enquiries, speaker/sponsor applications, press accreditation)
  • Editorial newsletter on ethical and human-centered AI

Event participation is governed by separate registration Terms communicated at the time of ticket purchase.


2. Intellectual property

2.1 WitUp Ltd-owned content

All Site content — editorial texts, images, videos, illustrations, 3D assets, graphics, source code, design and UI — is owned exclusively by WitUp Ltd or its licensors, and is protected by:

  • Copyright (Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 — UK)
  • Registered trademarks (Trade Marks Act 1994 — UK)
  • EU directives on copyright (2001/29/EC, 2019/790/EU)

Prohibited: reproduction, distribution, modification, translation, publication, transmission or other commercial exploitation of content without prior written consent.

2.2 Third-party logos and trademarks

Third-party logos and trademarks (sponsors, partners, press outlets) are used with the permission of their respective owners for informational and transparency purposes only. The presence of such marks does not imply mutual endorsement beyond what is formally agreed.

2.3 Permitted use

You may:

  • View and read content for personal non-commercial use
  • Share links to public content via social platforms
  • Quote short excerpts with explicit attribution ("source: humandriven-ai.com")

3. Use of the Site

You agree to:

  • Use the Site in compliance with applicable law, these Terms and good faith principles
  • Not interfere with the normal operation of the Site (DDoS, unauthorised mass scraping, vulnerability exploitation)
  • Not attempt unauthorised access to systems, data or restricted areas
  • Not use the Site for illegal, fraudulent, defamatory or rights-infringing purposes
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information when requested (contact forms, newsletter subscription, resource downloads, applications)
  • Respect others' dignity: do not submit offensive, discriminatory, hate-speech or spam content

In case of violation, we reserve the right to suspend access and report illegal conduct to the competent authorities.


4. User-generated content (UGC)

Content submitted via contact forms, applications, newsletter subscriptions or other channels remains owned by the user. By submitting content, you grant WitUp Ltd a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to:

  • Process the data for the purpose of handling the request
  • Retain content within the periods set out in the Privacy Policy
  • Reproduce excerpts (with attribution) where expressly authorised (e.g. testimonials published with consent)

You warrant being the lawful owner of submitted content and not infringing third-party rights.


5. Paid services (event tickets)

Tickets for Human Driven AI Summit will be purchased via Tickettailor (integration in progress). Specific terms:

  • Price and availability: indicated at the time of purchase
  • Payment methods: credit/debit card, processed by Tickettailor with Stripe as PSP
  • Confirmation: email receipt within 24 hours
  • Right of withdrawal: for EU/UK consumers, 14 days from purchase, except for service provision already started (Art. 16(l) Directive 2011/83/EU — dated events)
  • Event cancellation: full refund within 30 days
  • Programme changes: we reserve the right to modify speakers and agenda for force majeure, without right to partial refund except for full cancellation

6. Limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by applicable law, WitUp Ltd:

  • Does not warrant that the Site is error-free, always available or fit for a particular purpose
  • Will not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, consequential damages or lost profits arising from use or inability to use the Site
  • Limits aggregate liability to the greater of (a) £100, (b) the amount paid by the user for specific services in the last 12 months

Liability exclusions:

  • External links to third-party sites (Sponsors, Partners, Press) are provided for convenience — we do not control nor are we responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability
  • AI-generated content in the "AI & News" blog is editorially reviewed but provided for informational purposes only, does not constitute professional, legal, financial or medical advice

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Breaches that cannot be excluded by law

7. Warranties and representations

The user represents and warrants to:

  • Be at least 16 years old or the legal age required to use the Site in their jurisdiction
  • Provide truthful, accurate, complete information when requested
  • Not use the Site on behalf of parties who cannot access it (e.g. sanctioned entities)
  • Understand that some sections (admin, restricted area) are for internal use and unauthorised access is punishable

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect from the date of publication on this page, except for substantial changes for which we will give 30 days' notice via email to newsletter subscribers or via prominent notice on the Site.

It is the user's responsibility to periodically check for updates. Continued use of the Site after publication of changes constitutes tacit acceptance of the updated Terms.


9. Dispute resolution and severability

In case of dispute, the parties undertake to attempt amicable resolution within 60 days of written notice of the dispute. In the absence of agreement, the law and forum clause at §10 applies.

If any clause of the Terms is declared invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining clauses remain fully valid and enforceable (severability clause).


10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute relating to the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of London (UK), except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Consumers resident in the EU/EEA retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of residence for non-derogable protections under their national law.


11. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the user and WitUp Ltd in relation to the use of the Site, superseding any prior agreement, communication or understanding.
