The Human-Centric AI Made in Italy Supply Chain

HDAI Week Pompeii

More than one hundred Italian companies, selected by application by the Scientific Committee of the HDAI Association, show how technology can work for people. On the same days as the HDAI Summit.

Demo previews: images generated with artificial intelligence, not photos of the event.

Targets for the 2027 edition.

What “human-centric” means for a company

It means designing products and services in which people decide, understand and stay protected. Using artificial intelligence is not enough: what matters is how it is used, for whom and with what safeguards. The Supply Chain brings together the Italian companies that already do so and can prove it.

The five admission criteria

  1. 1

    People at the centre

The solution starts from a human need and leaves the last word to the person using it.

  2. 2

    Transparency and accountability

It is clear how it works, who is accountable and how it is corrected.

  3. 3

    Decent work

Technology improves people’s work instead of hollowing it out.

  4. 4

    Inclusion and accessibility

It also works for those who are usually left out.

  5. 5

    Italian roots

The company, its skills and its value stay tied to Italian territories.

The Supply Chain fields

Six fields where the choice between technology for people and technology on people shows every day.

  • Health and care

    Diagnosis, assistance, wellbeing.

  • Education

    Schools, universities, lifelong learning.

  • Work

    Organisations, skills, safety.

  • Accessibility

Tools for people with specific needs.

  • Heritage and culture

    Museums, archives, creative industries.

  • Territory

    Agrifood, environment, communities, third sector.

The Supply Chain companies

Pending the Committee’s results: five openly human-centric companies we will invite to apply.

  • Brunello Cucinelli

    Solomeo, Umbria

“Humanistic capitalism”: dignity of craft work, hours and places on a human scale, part of the profit returned to the village and the community.

  • Loccioni

    Angeli di Rosora, Marche

A family company making measurement and control technology that invests in young people, schools and the local area, down to energy shared with the community.

  • Translated

    Rome

AI translation that works alongside professional translators and learns from them, instead of replacing them.

  • Comau

    Turin, Piedmont

Collaborative robots and wearable exoskeletons designed to ease the strain on line workers, not to remove them from the line.

  • Aboca

    Sansepolcro, Tuscany

A benefit company caring for health with products made from natural substances, with its own research and farming chain and openness about how it works.

We will invite them to apply: they are not yet Supply Chain companies or confirmed participants of the HDAI Week.

What happens during the Week
