Roberto Germano

Founder and Administrator of PROMETE Srl - Founder and CTO of Oxhy

Biography

Roberto Germano is a distinguished physicist and entrepreneur, recognized for his foundational work in technology transfer and innovative energy solutions. He holds an MSc in Physics from the "Federico II" University of Napoli and is the Founder and Administrator of PROMETE Srl, a CNR Spin off Company established in 1997. Under his leadership, PROMETE Srl has operated as a regional research laboratory in physics and a specialist in technology transfer, focusing on applied physics across various fields. A prolific researcher, Germano has authored numerous articles in international scientific journals, with an h-index of 15, and holds several industrial patents. His research interests span condensed matter physics, biophysics, and low energy coherent systems, with a particular focus on the unique properties of water. He is a member of the International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS) and serves on the Scientific Committees of the IC-MAST - International Conference on Materials and Applications for Sensors and Transducers and the Aquaphotomics International Symposium in Japan. In 2004, he was awarded the "Roberto Marrama" prize for young entrepreneurial talents. More recently, Germano co-founded Oxhy, where he serves as CTO, pioneering the development of oxyhydroelectric cells. This innovative startup focuses on extracting electrical energy from water using infrared radiation, leveraging quantum phenomena related to the quantum characteristics of liquid water. This breakthrough technology aims to provide low-cost, distributed energy autonomy, representing a significant advancement in sustainable energy generation. His work at Oxhy builds upon his extensive background in experimental physics and his deep understanding of water's physical properties within the context of quantum electrodynamics.
