Virgilio D'Antonio

He graduated in Law in 2002 from the University of Salerno and subsequently obtained a PhD in Comparative Law and Human Rights in 2005. Teaching Activity: He is a Full Professor of Comparative Private Law. At the University of Salerno, he teaches Comparative Information and Communication Law, Institutions of Private Law, and Comparative Sports Law. He has also held teaching positions at other institutions (such as IUAD and Link Campus University). Institutional Roles at UNISA: Before assuming the highest university office, he served for a long time as Delegate for International Relations of the university and led the Department of Political and Communication Sciences (DISPC) as Director from 2019 to 2024. Research Activities and International Experiences: His main research areas focus on European and comparative private law, copyright and intellectual property protection, data protection, and communication law. He has conducted research abroad as a visiting fellow at prestigious universities in the United States (University of Illinois), Israel (University of Haifa), Spain (Barcelona), and Colombia.
